 Aung San Suu Kyi's ruling party won majority in Myanmar parliament

Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi won a landslide election victory as her National League for Democracy party secured majority control in parliament.

According to the results, announced by the election commission on Friday show that the NLD party, led by Aung San Suu Kyi, won 368 seats, which is more than 50% of Myanmar’s Parliament.


Aung San Suu Kyi is a Burmese politician, diplomat, author, and a 1991 Nobel Peace Prize laureate

Myanmar   is a Southeast Asian nation  , bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand.
