Indian mountaineer Arjun Vajpai this week became the youngest person in the world to scale six peaks over 8,000 metres when he summited the treacherous Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world.
Vajpai, became the third youngest person to scale the Mount Everest at the age of 16 in 2010
Vajpai,has so far scaled Mount Everest (8,848 mtr) in 2010, Mt Manaslu (8,163 mtr) and Mt Lhotse (8,516 mtr) in 2011, Mt Makalu (8,486 mtr) and Mt Cho Oyu (8,201 mtr) in 2016, according to the Himalayan Database, a record keeper of mountaineering feats.
Arjun Vajpai is the third-youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest. He achieved this feat at the age of 16 years, 11 months and 18 days. He broke the record set by Krushnaa Patil of Maharashtra who climbed the summit at the age of 19
