World Ranger Day 2020

World Ranger Day 2020

World Ranger Day is celebrated on 31 July to commemorate Rangers who were killed or injured in the line of duty and to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the world's natural and cultural heritage.

It’s estimated there are more than 100,000 reserves, parks and protected areas around the world. World Ranger Day was created by the International Ranger Federation and was first held in 2007.

A Ranger typically refered to as a forest ranger or a park ranger,  is a person that is charged with preserving and protecting parklands and natural protected areas.
